In Loving Memory of Joye Sanchez

In Loving Memory of Joye Sanchez

Drawing Joye did not finish for me,

before her death ... of "Dizzy"

Joye Sanchez found me thru her

mother Eline, who was looking for a

pet. After her mom got a Papillon ...

Joye was bit by the Papillon Bug and

wanted one herself, but she wanted a

show dog. She bought her first

Papillon, Sulean's Dream Catcher

Amica whom she enjoyed training and

showing and was a natural at it.

Joye Sanchez found me thru her mother Eline, who was looking for

bought her first Papillon, Sulean's Dream Catcher Amica whom

As a teacher of High School Advance Placement English, she loved

to teach, she wore clothes with pockets and drove a van, what more

could we ask for in our owners.

Joye had many talents as an artist and professional musician in her

younger days. Rich, Joye's husband was always supportive of her

hobby and did not complain when she wanted to take in another

dog, which ended up being 2, SuLeAn's Just Between Friends,

"Frenzy" and SuLeAn's Hearts Desire, "Dizzy". We had planned to

just keep the best one, but she fell in love and wanted to keep

them both. I could not argue. Dizzy and Frenzy came into her life

at the same time she had first became ill with breast cancer.

Joye was many things to many people, a mother, a wife and a

teacher and friend, but for me she was a constant companion for

5 years as we traveled the dog show road together ... sometimes

lost ... but always laughing.

She really cared about me and my dogs and she knows I loved her

as well ... I stayed with her till the end.

Win or lose, I am a better person for having had Joye in my life for

what was too short of a time in the five years I knew her.

Joye passed from this life Sept 18, 2005 and I miss her so much

it is unbelievable. The Sulean Papillons continue to live with Rich

today as he too processes this loss. I think in some small way the

dogs are helping him deal with this. I know they have help me !

Here is Joye showing her favorite dog, " Frenzy " (  Sulean's Just Between Friends )

who went on to also place at the Papillon National in Ohio.

That was Joye's last National.
